PRÉSENTATION
"Mein Dein Blaues Zimmer" s’inspire du livre de Xavier de Maistre, Voyage autour de ma chambre. L’auteur, assigné à résidence pendant six semaines, invite à voyager dans sa chambre. Il développe une sensibilité particulière pour les plus petits détails du quotidien et nous propose une rêverie philosophique et poétique sur notre condition. Réduisant simplement la mobilité au degré zéro, le « voyageur en chambre » explore l’espace qui l’entoure avec un regard vierge et fait naître des nouveaux mondes. C’est précisément l’antithèse de notre époque où la rapidité est érigée en loi.
« Mein Dein Blaues Zimmer » ne se réfère pas uniquement au XVIIIème siècle de Xavier de Maistre, mais cherche à fixer une limite à la vitesse contemporaine du monde. Au lieu de consommer de l’espace et du temps, en portant une attention particulière aux détails et à la poésie du présent, le spectacle ouvre sur de nouveaux univers individuels.
Dans cette première collaboration, Véronique Caye et Christiane Wittig, confrontent leurs différentes perceptions. La réalité personnelle de leur chambre respective à Paris, Bruxelles, Chemnitz et Berlin est transformée en une rêverie poétique, un monde d’images de fragments, de films, de sons et d’objets, offrant au visiteur une plongée dans son propre voyage intérieur.

VIDEO PERFORMANCE : MEIN_DEIN_BLAUES_ZIMMER
"MeinDein Blaues Zimmer" is based on the book "Voyage around my room", written by Xavier de Maistre. The objective is to develop a sensitivity for the smallest item, a kind of sensitivity, which is conscious seeing and not just recognizing...this should be the main objective of art according the writer. That is what the "Rooms traveller" is about: Commonly known rooms/spaces shall be alienated, to be discovered by a specifically trained view of an ethnologist and to be newly discovered, as if was a room to be seen the very first time. It is about a very specific and also special way of travelling...not about travelling by passing the time in order to leave distance behind you but about moving with your mind without actually having to leave any distance behind you...By simply reducing velocity to almost zero, someone's mind is allowed to explore the world around him/her in detail discovering new worlds...just a glimpse away...Obviously, it is the anti thesis to our current times where speed is everything...
However, the "MeinDein Blaues Zimmer" does not simply refer to this 19th century fashion but tries to set a limit to the simple speed of today's art and communication without actually giving a close look to detail and poetry of the moment. Instead of just consuming miles and times, it digs into details opening complete new individual worlds.
In their first common performance Caye and Wittig focus on different perceptions.
The personal realities of their defined, real rooms/spaces in Paris, Brussels and Chemnitz, Berlin will be transformed during the performance into a poetic and also playful world made of images, fragments, films, sounds, texts and objects, providing the visitor of the room to reflect and travel on her/his own journey.
